Nurse's Notes   | 9/19/2008 at 2:23 PM

Parents just a heads up.  We have two cases of strep in the building, and I have already sent home many children with stomach as well as respiratory symptoms.  It is ONLY September, looks like a long hard  fall/winter is upon us.  Please Please Please, if your child is ill keep them at home, as a reminder children should remain at home until they are diarrhea, vomit, and fever free (without medication) for 24 hours.  It is important that you reinforce proper handwashing at home along with a balanced diet, 8-10 hours of sleep per night, exercise, plenty of fluids, and covering mouths when coughing, sneezing, yawning.  Together we can beat this!  Here is to a healthy school year,   Nurse Simpson
