For the safety and security of your children, it is important that the school has both up to date immunizations and physicals on file. Please make sure that your child's emergency information is updated as the numbers change. Remember to make us aware of any changes in emergency contact persons and numbers, as well as any changes in your home, work, or cell phone numbers
Goals of the School Health Services Program:
Maintain a safe and healthy environment throughout buildings.
Utilize every opportunity to foster and promote positive self esteem.
Promote healthy living.
Strict adherence to state law regarding, immunization guidelines, TB, and the administration of any medication in the school setting.
Empower each student to reach maximum potential, develope life values, enhance social responsibility preparing them to meet the challenges of a changing society.
Act as a resource to: students, parents, staff and administration, regarding medical care, questions and concerns.
About the Nurse:
I have been a Registered Professional Nurse for thirty years, In addition to a varied nursing background, I entered school nursing fourteen years ago. A graduate of Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, returning to school a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree was earned and later my School Nurse Certificate both, from New Jersey City University.
Residing in Hackettstown the proud mom of two wonderful sons, married to a nurse. We have three dogs and one cat. In my spare time I enjoy reading, knitting and spending time with my family. I became a first time Grammie in January of 2012.
