    Background:
This is my first year teaching at Valley Road School and I am very excited to be here! I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Health and Physical Education from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. I am certified to teach grades K - 12th including driver education. My intense course of study at Montclair State University has prepared me to be an informed, dynamic professional in the Health and Physical Education field, and trained me to educate my students with the most current and up-to-date educational practices. I am also a graduate of Pace University in Pleasantville, New York where I was a full scholarship athlete on the women's basketball team. I received my Master of Science degree in Counseling and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Psychology & Human Relations as part of a 5-year combined degree program.

I do not just teach about health and physical education, I also live it. I really do PRACTICE what I PREACH! Some of my favorite hobbies include exercising and playing sports. I am a member of the running club New York Road Runners and compete in runs of varying distances throughout the year. Recently, I completed the 2013 ING New York City Marathon and it is my most memorable athletic accomplishment thus far. I truly love what I do, it is what drives me to wake up each morning. I love working with all of my students and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with your child and teach them how to be healthy and physically fit.

If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year please do not hesitate in contacting me.
